Storyline
For Kriss the world is black and white until he escapes into it ... A moving and intense drama about the mentally ill Kriss who divides the world into good and evil. Just like in the classic black and white melodrama "Pure Hearts", about the young girl Linda's hardships. The old movie is the focal point in Kriss and his friend Willy's life in the sheltered institution where they watch it over and over again. A violent encounter with a fellow patient results in Kriss being prohibited from watching "Pure Hearts". Kriss' frustration is overwhelming until he finds out that Linda in the movie actually exists in the real world. Kriss and Willy set the institution ablaze and escape into the night to find Linda – and happiness – for "life is what you make of it."
