The Czech Audiovisual Fund is currently undergoing its transformation, which will determine its further operation, including the support for new areas of the audiovisual industry.
The Fund supports the entire spectrum of audiovisual activities – primarily audiovisual works themselves at all stages of creation, from the first version of the script to distribution to cinemas or other distribution platforms. It is also aware of the need to support further education of film professionals, the development of film science and publishing activities, film festivals, and the technical development of cinemas. The Fund also supports the audiovisual industry thanks to a system of incentives that attract foreign investments worth several billion annually.
Since 2017, the Czech Film Center and the Czech Film Commission have become an integral part of the Fund, making it a complex institution that not only allocates money but which also promotes the Czech film industry internationally.
