IndieStream.cz — an independent platform for sharing films
My name is Filip Salhab, and I am the founder of IndieStream.cz — an independent Czech project created to offer filmmakers a fair, free, and simple environment for sharing their films.
IndieStream began as a small community project for my own films, but it gradually grew into an open platform where independent filmmakers, amateur creators, and professional productions alike can present their work — provided the collaboration does not require contractual obligations that would limit our independence.

What IndieStream.cz offers
- Non-exclusive collaboration — you can also share your films on other platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, other VOD services).
- Adding content completely free of charge — with no hidden fees and no obligations.
- Fair revenue sharing — 85% of every payment goes directly to the author, 15% to the platform for operation and development.
- Automatic monthly payouts directly to your account.
- Two ways to watch a film:
- Monthly access — the viewer can watch the film on up to two devices simultaneously for 30 days. Validity is counted only from the moment the viewer activates the code, not from the payment. This means a viewer can, for example, purchase the film in June, activate it in July, and their 30-day access begins from that moment.
- 24-hour access at a reduced price — if you enable it in your interface. Here, too, the 24-hour validity begins only from code activation, not from payment.
- Full control over the presentation of your work — you set the price, description, genre, poster, trailer, and release date yourself.
- A unified administration interface — if you have multiple films, you manage them all under a single account.
- The option to remove your content at any time — with no fees and no conditions.
Short films (up to 15 minutes)
We now offer a short film section, which is completely free for viewers. Creators can nevertheless receive voluntary contributions from viewers — again with a fair 85% / 15% split.
Collaboration with festivals
We currently collaborate with F.a.F. – the Festival of Amateur Film, where creators enjoy preferential terms (a lower margin than the standard 15%). The margin is set individually based on the agreement with the given festival. The platform is ready to collaborate with other festivals as well, should they express interest.
How adding a film works
- You fill out a short form — it takes only a few minutes.
- We check the details and create an administration account for you.
- You upload the film, poster, trailer, description, and links, and set the price or release date.
- The film is automatically published at the time you specify.
The whole process is simple, and I will be glad to guide you through it personally.
Why IndieStream.cz?
We are an independent project that values every creator and viewer. Our goal is to offer a space where authors have freedom, fair conditions, and the opportunity to reach an audience without intermediaries. The platform has been officially running for half a year, has been in development for roughly a year, and already features work from creators such as Špetla Film and others who have chosen to share their films independently.
