Xova Film

Xova Film is a Prague-based production company, dedicated to working with fresh audiovisual talents, bringing their passion to the screen. The company scope is eclectic in genres and forms, united by distinct voices, strong stories, and international cinematic appeal. Xova Film is run by FAMU-graduate producer Marek Novák, a member of the Czech Producer's Association, who took part in many international workshops and platforms (EAVE, ifs international producing, Dok.incubator, Midpoint, etc.).

In 2018, the experimental graverobbing docu-fiction VIENNA CALLING by Petr Šprincl premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest and CIRCUS RWANDA, Michal Varga's documentary about Afro-European cultural clash in circus art premiered at Karlovy Vary IFF, Warsaw IFF, and others. Zombie folklore-apocalypse MORAVIA, O FAIR LAND III. by P. Šprincl is in post and ERHART, fiction feature debut by Jan Březina is in pre-production, along with several other fiction, documentary, and experimental projects in development.

Xova Film is also actively scouting projects for co-productions, latest being the Romanian feature HEADS AND TAILS (2019), the second feature of director Nicolae Constantin Tanase, produced by Anamaria Antoci of 4 Proof Film.
