Audiovisual Producers’ Association (APA), founded in 1994 associates producers and production companies engaged in the production of of feature films, commercials, documentaries, animated films, tv projects as well as those providing production services.
The main activity of the APA is the protection and promotion of producers’ interests, dealing with professional associations, protective authors’ organisations or bodies of the state administration. The APA also co-operates in solving legal and tax issues related to film production and takes part in creating legislative norms in this sphere.
The main objective and content of the activity of the Czech Film Center is the promotion of Czech cinematography and film industry abroad.
The office was established in 2002 on the initiative of the Audiovisual Producers’ Association with the goal of systematically profiling contemporary Czech film. In 2013 it became a part of the National Film Archive, an allowance organisation of the Czech Ministry of Culture.
The mission of the National Film Archive is to preserve cinema heritage, to further its public understanding, and to facilitate the development of the Czech audio-visual industry and film culture. The NFA is one of the ten oldest and largest film archives in the world. It was set up in 1943 and in 1946 it became a member of the International Federation of Film Archives – FIAF.
In the Czech Republic, the NFA is one of the major memory institutions; in addition to performing the archival role, it manages sales of Czechoslovak films (produced before 1993) and is engaged in scientific and publishing activities, exhibition and promotion of film heritage and support of contemporary Czech cinema.
The Czech Tourism Authority – CzechTourism established in 1993 is a contributory organization of the Ministry for Regional Development. The agency is engaged in the development of tourism in the Czech Republic and, along with its offices abroad, ensures a successful presentation of the country on domestic and foreign markets.
CzechTourism is a contributory organization of the Ministry for Regional Development. Its significant partner agencies include domestic tourist regions, municipalities and businesses.
